ER+ Emergency Services
You do not plan to visit the emergency department. It just happens, and usually when you least expect it. At White County Community Hospital, we practice a philosophy of emergency care called ER+, which helps further our goal that you will receive quality medical care as quickly and professionally as possible.
The Emergency Department at White County Community Hospital has 24-hour emergency physician coverage. Our ED is staffed with nine nurses certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. The cardiopulmonary team is readily available for any emergency. CT and X-rays can be done within minutes because our ED is located next door to our 24-hour staffed Radiology Department. We have access to telemetry units so that cardiac patients may be monitored from any of the eight beds in the ER.
The Emergency Department is equipped with a fast track area that will accommodate the less serious cases. There are three private rooms including an exam room supplied for orthopaedic needs. Our Trauma Room is maintained with today's modern equipment to stabilize our most serious patients who may need additional care in our hospital or can be transferred in minutes by helicopter to the nearest Trauma Center.

The eight-bed Emergency Room is staffed at all times by one doctor and two nurses. The ER+ goal is for you to have access 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week, to qualified physicians who take the time to listen to what you have to say. You will be greeted warmly by nurses who are truly compassionate and a registration staff that understands that people come before paperwork.
Our team of trained physicians, nurses and technicians are able to provide fast, quality care. They will listen to you, examine you carefully and prescribe a treatment plan that you will understand and believe in.

Women´s Healthcare Clinic
At White County Women’s Health Care we have worked to create an environment that caters to the special concerns and healthcare needs of today’s woman. Providing respectful, thorough and confidential service to all women is our mission. Specializing in Gynecology & Infertility, Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery, Infertility Evaluations, Evaluations of Abnormal Pap Smears, Pelvic Pain, Urinary Incontinence, Menstrual Problems. We also carry the Obagi Nu-Derm System, a prescription home treatment that:
• Diminishes fine lines and wrinkles
• Improves skin texture and elasticity
• Corrects uneven pigmentation (age spots)

Imaging
White County Community Hospital Diagnostic Imaging offers 24/7 services. WCCH offers the following modalities:
• Diagnostic X-ray, including a C-armo
• Mammography
• CT
• Ultrasound
• Nuclear Medicine
• MRI
The hospital has a modern 1.5 Tesla Magnet MRI with many software capabilities.
The Diagnostic Imaging Staff is a very closely-knit group with most technologists cross-trained in more than one modality. All technologists are registered in at least one modality and each strives to give 100% in whatever they do. The radiologist strives for high quality images. The work environment is a positive one where the technologists work very closely with the radiologist and other medical staff.

Laboratory
WCCH Laboratory is responsible for all aspects of diagnostic laboratory testing and consultative laboratory services. The WCCH Lab performs a wide variety of highly automated, high-volume laboratory tests. We have today's modern equipment and most of the diagnostic testing is performed at this lab. Highly specialized diagnostic tests such as …are sent to reference labs such as Quest.
Area physicians, not associated with WCCH, also utilize our lab for diagnostic testing because they receive test results in a timely manner and their patients can remain close to home.
Technicians and technologists are also responsible for the collection of blood specimens. Our highly trained techs strive to make your blood draw as quick and painless as possible for you and your family.
WCCH Laboratory maintains CLIA certification, JCAHO certification and State of Tennessee Licensure. This means that WCCH Laboratory complies with standards set by nationally recognized organizations. JCAHO certification is given to those labs that apply rigid standards of quality in day-to-day operations, demonstrate continued accuracy in the performance of proficiency testing, and pass a rigorous on-site laboratory survey. The WCCH Laboratory received a score of 98 on their last JCAHO survey as an outstanding lab. This score is given only to labs with no deficiencies noted at an on-site inspection, have no proficiency testing failures during the past two years and have had no valid complaints against them registered with HCFA. This score gives labs special recognition when they have proved exemplary patient testing performance.

Respiratory Therapy
White County Community Hospital's Respiratory Therapy Department provides the most up-to-date respiratory services. Services provided include:

Surgical Services
Surgical Services of White County Community Hospital has three operating room suites. We provide general, OB/GYN, Orthopedic, Urology & Ophthalmology surgery services. Our Gastroenterology service is very busy with screenings and diagnostic services. Our staff is dedicated to the quality services you may find at any institution.
